WHAT IS KENDAMA DOJO?

Kendama Dojo is a fun and active, after school program aiming to teach and develop the next generation of Australian Kendama players! We provide a safe and encouraging environment for all kids to discover the benefits of Kendama.
What is Kendama? Kendama is a traditional Japanese skill toy that combines hand-eye coordination, balance and creativity. Today it is played worldwide, with competitions and communities all over the world!
It consists of 3 main parts:
- Ken - the handle, which has 3 cups and a spike
- Tama - the ball, attached by a string
- String - connects the ken to the tama... KENDAMA!
The goal is to swing the ball and catch it in one of the cups or spike. Players perform tricks by controlling the ball in different ways.
Why people love it?
- Improves coordination and focus
- Encourages creativity (Invent your own tricks and play style)
- Can be competitive or just casual fun
- portable and simple, but challenging to master!
